The Classic Car Show, held on 2 August 2026, in Rushden’s Hall Park, was another brilliant success.  As usual it was well attended and in Rushden Museum we were very busy.  It was a beautiful day and by the afternoon it was very hot.  It was even hot in the museum and that doesn’t happen very often.  This year has been a bit of an exception to the normal rule with so many hot days.

In the Hall Park

Our president, Will Osborne, brought his own classic car to stand outside the museum and this, as always, attracted a lot of attention.

We put our gazebo up, always a bit of a challenge, and filled several tables with books to sell to swell our funds, and this proved to be very successful and made us a reasonable amount of money.  Taking the gazebo down and fitting it back in its bag is even more of a challenge.

Outside the museum

The local photos on our screens were very popular, and although we were busy we were able to help a few people with their enquiries.

The Walled Garden was very busy, and there was live music so we had entertainment all afternoon.  It sounded as if everyone was having a good time.

It was a very good day so well done and thank you to all at RHTS who did the organising and the hard work.
