During March we have continued to work on this year’s exhibition and although we always seem to be working in chaos, it is all starting to come together. The cabinets are sorted, if not completely finished, and most of the wall space is filled. We still have several drawers to fill but we are working on it. Very little cataloguing has been done and no sorting but that has to be put aside until the exhibition is set up.

Our work-experience student joined us on 19 March with his work coach and seemed to enjoy his first day. He will not be back until 16 April owing to activities at school and the Easter Holiday. Our IT man finally got to us on 26 March and sorted a few things for us, but we still have problems so will have to get him back. We have arranged the AGM for 22 April to he held at Rushden Hall when the speaker will be Mr. Richard Barnwell, an auctioneer for 50 years, with a talk entitled “Barnwell on Bygones or Richard on Rubbish.”
There have been two donations of items to the museum during March, which included some flags from the shop of Flavell Hart and some glass bottles which we have been able to put on display.
The most popular photo on Facebook during March was Wellingborough Road showing the junction with Duck Street before the roundabout. On Instagram it was the photo of the footbridge at Rushden Station.
