Our Thursday workdays have continued during March, and we have started to set up the exhibition. All our toys are out and mostly displayed, only the larger items still need attention. One of our dolls has been given some TLC and she is looking better now, although her pram needs sorting. Another doll is having expert TLC and should be returned to us soon.

We have had just one item donated to the museum during March and that is a Rushden Query Club ashtray sent to us from Brisbane, Australia. Cataloguing has continued but there is still a lot to do, the pile doesn’t seem to go down much.

Three memorial items have been loaned to Rushden Town Council to be displayed in the Hall. The National War Savings Committee plaque, the Windmill Club Roll of Honour, and the Co-op Shoe Factory Roll of Honour.

We are still having problems getting the new computer and the touch screens sorted, but hopefully the touch screens will be ready for our opening on 3 May. There should be a reasonable amount of material to go on the screen by then.
We had a committee meeting at the end of the month to make the final arrangements for the AGM on 7 April. Unfortunately, our chairman, Peter, will be in hospital so will be unable to attend. Jon-Paul Carr has agreed to chair the meeting which will be held in Rushden Hall.
One last minute piece of good news is that everything has been successfully transferred to the new computer, including the Modes catalogue, and should be returned to us on Thursday (3 April).
