Thursday work days have continued throughout February with sorting and cataloguing. We had a committee meeting at the beginning of the month to sort details of the AGM to be held in April, and to plan this year’s exhibition which is to be toys. No title has been decided yet. We have started preparing for the exhibition – shelves have been put up and cabinets cleaned. Also in preparation for display, one of our dolls has gone off for some serious TLC. She was very sad, so we are hoping she can be made happy again.

Another item catalogued was this plaque presented by the National War Savings Committee to the Citizens of Rushden for work carried out by the Local War Savings Committee during the Great War 1914-1918. This will be displayed in Rushden Hall.
We are still waiting to get the new computer set up. Transferring material from the old one is proving more complicated than expected. One of the touch screens is refusing to work so we are now rethinking the project to get our collection onto the screen. Hopefully it will still happen, but in a different format to that originally planned. Lots of ideas to throw round.
We also have a display, jointly with the Rushden and District History Society, at the Discover Northamptonshire hub at Rushden Lakes.
