Rushden Museum Annual General Meeting was held at Rushden Hall on the evening of 18 April 2024. It had been a lovely sunny day but, as happened last year, it turned into a wet and windy evening. In spite of, that the meeting was fairly well attended.
Peter Field was re-elected chairman with Gill Hollis vice-chairman. Viv Wilkinson was elected treasurer, and Jon-Paul Carr, Kay Collins, Tony Bathurst, Joan Bathurst and Ken Smith as committee members. Will Osborne said he was honoured to continue as our president, and we are honoured to have him.
Tea and coffee was served during the break. Thank you to those who pitched in and did the washing-up.

The talk – “Rushden Through the Photo Frame” – was given by Jon-Paul Carr using slides from the collection of A. J. George. Several were views over Rushden taken from St. Mary’s Church tower in 1972, and others were early views of the town. Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening and the meeting closed at 9.30pm.
