Sunday 6 August 2023 was the Classic Car Show in Rushden’s Hall Park, and what a day it was. Saturday was so cold and wet, with non-stop rain all day, more like February than August, we hardly dared to hope it could go ahead. However, Sunday dawned bright and sunny and although it wasn’t wall to wall sunshine the sun was out most of the time, and after the weather we have been having it was a wonderful day.
The people were out in force and in Rushden Museum we were busy from 10.30 onwards. By lunch time we had had almost 300 visitors and by the time we closed at about 4.30 over 750 people had visited the museum. We were very tired, but we had met some lovely people and it had been a very enjoyable day.
