We have recently had donated to Rushden Museum several items relating to the Succoth Chapel which stood in Rushden High Street. These include an early photograph taken before the fire in 1901 which destroyed several of the properties nearby. Mr. W. Desborough’s shop was one of those destroyed.

There is also a paper setting out the Articles of Faith, and a poster for Harvest Thanksgiving Service with sermons by Pastor R. Robinson of Clerkenwell. There is no year on the poster, but we have also been given a letter from Pastor Robinson to Mr. Desborough dated 27 September, 1935

The chapel was demolished in 1969 and a Co-op store built on the site.
