As part of our Jubilee celebrations a 1950s Tea was held in the Masonic Hall, Rushden, on 8 June 2022. It was a joint event organised by the Rushden Museum and Rushden and District History Society, also supported by Rushden Town Council.
It was a very successful afternoon with an interesting illustrated talk on the History of Royal Northamptonshire by our own J-P Carr.
After the talk we all enjoyed a good selection of sandwiches and cakes, and, as you will see from the photographs, Her Majesty found time to pop in and give us a wave.
