On 1 and 2 October 2018, Rushden Museum was visited by two classes from the Henry Chichele Primary School in Higham Ferrers.  The children are learning about the shoe trade in Rushden so were given a short talk about shoe making   After the talk they were able to look at photographs of the inside of some of Rushden’s factories, handle tools used in shoemaking, and feel samples of the leather used.

They were a lovely group of well-behaved children.  We hope they all enjoyed the visit and also learned a bit more about the shoe trade.
