Rushden Museum’s “Cream Tea” held at Rushden Hall on Saturday 7 July 2018, was very successful in spite of all the competition. There were local fetes taking place on the same afternoon, England were playing in the World Cup, and then, of course, it’s Wimbledon. The only complaint we can make about the weather is that it was so hot no-one wanted to sit outside, which was a shame because the Hall makes a lovely setting.
However, a good crowd turned out to support us, so our thanks go to them. Thank you also to Clive, our President, and to Norma and her helper who did all the baking, serving, and washing up. The scones and cakes were absolutely delicious.
