There have been no big events this month, but we have continued to have a steady stream of visitors. The August holidays are over so we finally managed to get our new IT host to spend a morning with us, and as a result of that we now have both our touch screens working. We are also hoping to make progress with the project to get our collection onto the screen. We should be able to get on with this during the winter. We are also hoping to make a few improvements to the web site.

Donations
The donations for September have included a collection of WWI documents and a sample case from the Tecnic Boot Co. This case contains 8 compartments each holding a shoe in the different stages of manufacture. We need to sort the shoes into the correct order, and then this will be very useful when we do talks on the Boot and Shoe Industry.

Workdays
Thursday workdays continue, although we did have one week off this month owing to holidays and appointments. The sorting and cataloguing are ongoing. All the new donations have been catalogued and packed away, plus some of the items which have been bequeathed to us, including the two posters pictured below.
