At the Northamptonshire Heritage Forum Awards ceremony on 1 July 2021, held via Zoom, Rushden Museum won the Best Community Event award with the Scouting in Rushden 1909 – 2019 exhibition and the Campfire Sing-a-Long held in the Walled Garden in Rushden Hall Park.
The exhibition was created with items loaned by Scouts, past and present, and the Campfire Sing-A-Long in the walled garden was organised jointly by the Scouts and the Rushden Museum Committee.
At the opening of the exhibition on the 4 May 2019, members of the 4th Rushden Beavers, Cubs and Scouts were in charge of serving tea.

The Campfire Sing-A-Long was organised as part of Celebrate Rushden Week, but the weather defeated us and it had to be postponed until 17 July 2019. Fortunately the weather was kinder then and it was a successful evening.
