The 2019 season at Rushden Museum has now ended and the exhibition has been dismantled.  Most of the items, except for a few strays, have been packed away or returned to their owners.  The lads have started work on creating more storage space and the girls have started work on next year’s exhibition, not too much progress in either department at the moment but it’s early days.  Watch this space for progress reports.

To try and catch up on some of the recording work a ‘Cataloguing Day’ was organised for Tuesday 26 November, when volunteers came to the museum to help.  Items were recorded on the relevant forms, and numbered or labelled.  Now all that remains to be done is to scan or photograph the items, enter them on the computer and pack them away.  Easy peasy.   Almost done.  Fortunately, it wasn’t too cold, because those who are familiar with Rushden Museum will know that it is usually cold, very cold or absolutely freezing during the winter months.

Many thanks to those who gave their time to help us.
