What a day we had on Saturday 14 July 2018 for Rushden’s Party in the Park.  The sun shone all day and the people of the town turned out in droves to support the event.  It was so hot it even got warm in the museum and that doesn’t happen very often.   We had a steady stream of visitors to Rushden Museum all afternoon and sold quite a few books to boost our funds.  As usual we had some lovely people in and it’s always good when we can answer a question or produce the information someone is looking for.

Out in the Hall Park Lennie the Land Train was very busy as were all the rides.  There were enough of us on duty at the museum to allow us to take a break to enjoy a drink and a piece of cake, and to give us a chance to wander round the park to see what was going on.  We could hear the music in the Walled Garden all afternoon so there was a lot going on in there.

The party was set to go on all evening – no doubt everyone had a really good time.
