As we come to the end of 2025 all of us at Rushden Museum would like to thank you for your support and to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and all good wishes for 2026.
This year we welcomed approximately 2,000 visitors to our Toy Stories exhibition. Our busiest days were Party in the Park in July, and the Classic Car Show in August. We hosted several group visits and also went to Imperial Court and gave a talk about Rushden focusing on the town centre.

A new project for us was having a work-experience student from Isebrook School in Kettering joining us for several weeks on our Thursday workdays. It was a learning curve for us but worked well and we are looking forward to another student joining us in January.
We have started making plans for next year’s exhibition and throughout the year we have continued to organise and catalogue the material bequeathed to us, including new donations to the museum. The two bottles pictured below were donated this year.

We have added pages to our Touch Screen showcasing items in our collection. This has been updated during the season and will be updated again before we open in May. The medals below can be seen on our Touch Screen including information about them.

Our social media pages continue to be successful with over 600 followers on Facebook and more than 1,000 followers on Instagram. The two pictures of Rushden Swimming Baths provoked a lot of happy memories, the general opinion being that it was always freezing cold but a lot of fun.
