We had a really good day on Saturday for the official opening of this year’s exhibition. The weather was brilliant and we had a good turnout. Peter said he was going to make a short speech then created panic by getting out a very large ring binder with a lot of pages in it. He welcomed the guests, and explained the exhibition, thanking all those involved in putting it together.

Before cutting the ribbon and declaring the 2018 Exhibition ‘open,’ the Mayor, Barbara Jenney, also said a few words, thanking those involved for their hard work and saying that the museum is an asset to the town.
As the weather was so good our guests were able to sit outside after they had looked round the museum. J-P was kept busy serving the tea and biscuits but managed very well. We know who to give that job to next year!
